[News] Angela Bettis-Starring 12 Hour Shift Comes to Theatres and VOD in October!
Magnet Releasing has set October 2nd, 2020 as the release date for writer/director Brea Grant’s 12 Hour Shift.
Set in 1998 and over the course of one night, 12 Hour Shift is about a junkie nurse, her scheming cousin and a group of black market organ-trading criminals who get caught up in heist gone wrong. With the story, Brea Grant wanted to “blur the harsh reality of opioid use, lack of small town services, the understaffing of a hospital with the dark glamor of an urban legend involving criminals, lost kidneys and dance sequences.”
Like Brea, we all stan dance sequences.
Our own Justin Lockwood reviewed 12 Hour Shift out of Tribeca and says, “12 Hour Shift is one of those films that maybe shouldn’t work but does, wonderfully. A movie like this, with its mix of black comedy and shocking violence, requires just the right touch to work and avoid becoming self-indulgent.”
